The validity of the residence permit under the new conditions will be 10 years. You will be allowed to extend your status for the same period. An investor will be able to move to Hungary together with his family, for example his spouse and children.
Hungary resumed the residence permit program by investment
The investment condition must be fulfilled within 3 months from the date of first entry into the country on an investor visa. After this, the foreigner will be able to apply for a residence permit in Hungary.
They plan to issue residence permits in Hungary for investments:
- from €250,000 - to local real estate funds;
- from €500,000 - for residential real estate in Hungary, which must remain the property of the investor for at least 5 years after purchase;
- from €1,000,000 - to public funds supporting Hungarian universities and colleges.
