First casino to open in UAE

Wynn Marjan Resort, which opens in 2026 on an island in Ras Al Khaimah, will include an approximately 18,500 sq. m. Thus, the object will be among the ten largest in the world and almost double the size of the American resort Wynn Las Vegas

Wynn Marjan has begun planning the operation of its casino in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE). At the same time the authorities of the emirate are preparing a law on gambling, the Arabian Business Hotelier Middle East reported.

The first casino in the Emirates will be part of the Wynn Marjan resort in Ras Al Khaimah.

Previously, the construction of a casino in a country with strict Islamic laws was not so directly mentioned. The original plans were vague about a certain play area, without specifics. However, Ras Al Khaimah later opened a new Department of Entertainment and Gambling Regulation "designed to create a solid foundation that will ensure responsible gambling at all levels."
