Positive changes in obtaining and renewing the “golden visa” of Portugal
Since June 15, the Foreigners and Borders Service has been operating as usual and has begun to extend the residence permit, accept new applications and approve new "golden visas"

At the beginning of 2022, the Portuguese Border Guard (SEF) actually made a unilateral decision to freeze the residence permit for investment. This resulted in a lack of new investments and made it impossible for existing holders of "golden visas" to legally stay in the country.
