What is the KHDA ranking of Dubai schools? What kind of organization is this, how does it form the rating, and can it be trusted?
This is a separate body from the Ministry of Education, which appeared in 2006 and is responsible for raising the quality of education to international standards among kindergartens, schools and universities.
A KHDA five-point system:
- Outstanding - exceptionally high quality
- Very Good is the expected level for every school in Dubai
- Good is the minimum level of acceptance required for Dubai
- Acceptable - quality is not yet at a level acceptable for schools in Dubai. Schools are expected to take urgent action to improve quality
- Weak - Measures to protect and protect students are not justified.
Why can you trust the KHDA rating?
Getting into the TOP is really difficult - only 25% of all schools now have the highest ratings: 17 schools with an “Outstanding” rating and 35 with a “Very Good” rating.
The bottom line is that the higher the school's rating, the more expensive the tuition. Therefore, schools are interested in improving the conditions and quality of education in order to increase the cost of their services.
There are many parameters by which the KHDA evaluates schools, here are the main ones: student academic performance; quality of teaching; innovation in the program; effectiveness of the learning environment
The approach to education aims to ensure that expats move with their families and can provide their children with an education that is equal to or better than that of developed countries.
