Kindergartens

In Georgia, kindergartens are public and private. Some commercial gardens are opened by emigrants.

To enroll in the state garden, you must apply in advance, as there are often long lines at the gardens. Children are admitted to public kindergartens from the age of 3, while in private kindergartens there are groups where you can enroll when the child is one and a half to two years old.

In public kindergartens, all teaching is done in Georgian, but in the same group, children can speak different languages.

A group in a public kindergarten usually consists of 30 people.

The child must be brought to the garden no later than 9:30, at which time breakfast begins.

Children are picked up from about half past five to six, but everyone usually leaves earlier.There are many private gardens in Georgia. Among them there are, for example, apartments: a group of no more than 15 people, one teacher, children are brought in at 10-11 o’clock.

The cost of a private kindergarten varies from $100 to $300 per month. The gardens opened by migrants are the most expensive.
